Seven Boyertown Area Senior High (BASH) seniors have achieved "Commended" status in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSC).
Based on their scores on the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude test they took during 11th grade, these students will not advance in the competition, but they are "honored for their academic promise," by the NMSC, who notes that "about 34,000 of the 50,000 high scorers" receive this honor. Though they do not compete for the $2,500 National Merit Scholarship, some may become candidates for special scholarships offered by corporate sponsors.
The following BASH students received Letters of Commendation from NMSC:

Fascinating research. Would love to learn more.
Thank you for this information. Wendel (correct spelling) Renninger was my 8th generation great grandfather. I’d be interested in any other information your research may have turned up on him.
Excellent! Thanks.
