The Boyertown Area Alumni Marching Unit performed their 18th annual holiday concert at Morning Star Fellowship Church in Bechtelsville on Saturday, December 3. The marching unit always enjoys performing for their community and Saturday’s large audience enjoyed the evening as much as the band and band front enjoyed performing.

Each December, the marching unit collects a free will offering from their audience for the Boyertown Area Multi-Service, a social service agency dedicated to meeting needs and improving the lives of people in the Boyertown School District Area and surrounding communities of Amity, District, Hereford, Pike and Oley townships.

This year’s audience was very generous and gave a hefty donation of $1,431 for the Boyertown Area Multi-Service! The marching unit boosted the donation to an even $1500. Thank you to our giving community!

In addition to the monetary donations from the audience, the marching unit members collected various food & daily essentials several times throughout the year for the Multi-Service. The most recent collection of essentials weighed in at 186 pounds which followed the marching unit’s August donation of 265 pounds of non-perishable food & supplies. The marching unit is so thankful that they are able to continue to help local families through this important organization https://www.boyertownareamulti-service.org/.

On September 11, 2022, the marching unit performed a 9/11 Remembrance concert to honor their local first responders. The free will offering collected at the concert was distributed to the New Hanover Fire & Rescue Services, the Gilbertsville Fire Department, and the Bally Ambulance. We thank our first responders for their commitment every day as they risk their lives for their communities.

The marching unit’s 46th annual spring concert will be performed on Saturday, April 29 at Boyertown Middle School West (380 S. Madison Street, Boyertown) at 3:00PM. This is the first time our spring concert will be held during the afternoon so please mark your calendars now. We hope to see you there!

Thank you to Morning Star Fellowship Church, the Keystone Fire Company of Boyertown, the Boyertown area & surrounding local communities, and the Boyertown Area Alumni Marching Unit patrons for their continued support. We wish you all a happy & healthy new year!
