Boyertown Congratulates Trey Yesavage on Magical Season

There’s no other way to say it; Trey Yesavage has had a magical season. The 22-year-old has only six starts as a major league pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays, the baseball team headed to game 1 in the World Series on Friday (October 24, 2025).

And I’d guess that Boyertown’s baseball fans--and maybe even some who rarely follow the sport--will not miss a pitch in their eagerness to support their native son.

On September 15, 2025, Trey moved up to the major leagues. Six weeks later, he will experience the thrill of participating in World Series competition denied to hundreds of pitchers who have spent their careers without that same chance.

Boyertown is a baseball town; its citizens take great pride in the premier American Legion baseball stadium built by community effort. And, however the team itself fares, they’ll take great pride in watching one of their own.

When the season finally ends, we hope Trey will have some time to interview with one of The Expression’s writers (someone who knows sports in ways I never will).

But today, we just wanted to acknowledge how happy we are for a BASH grad who worked hard to realize his dream and how excited we will feel—as fellow members of this special kind of place—watching him on the national stage playing the All-American game.
