Four BASH  students-- Sadie Hanish, Ashtyn Ehst, Kolby Grim, Charlotte Burrell-- traveled to Berks Catholic High School in Reading, PA, to participate in the 2026 PA Music Educators Association (PMEA)  District 10 Chorus, held January 8-9.

They joined more than 200 singers from 50 school districts across Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, Pike, and Schuylkill Counties. Dr. Joy Meade of Messiah University directed the group.

During the festival, the students had an opportunity to re-audition on a new piece of music, "My Spirit Sang All Day" by G. Finzi.  Based on these auditions, the top 13 students from each section will move on to PMEA Region V Choir at Warwick High School in Lititz, PA, on February 20 and 21.  Two Boyertown vocalists  -- Ashtyn Ehst (Soprano 2) and Kolby Grim (Bass 1). -- made the cut and are advancing. They will join 100 of the top students from PMEA District 7, which encompasses Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York Counties.

Dr. Robert Bigley of Lancaster Bible College will conduct the regional chorus group and rehearse a variety of new repertoire.  Additionally, East and Grim will have the opportunity to audition for a spot in the All-State festival.
