I thought it might be fun to bring poets Phil Repko and John Yamrus together for a "B Inspired" podcast episode conversation about  their "artistic journeys," their writing and publishing processes, their disparate styles, common themes, and their love of words.

Their styles are so different; Phil, a long-time language arts teacher brings his education and experience teaching the bards of British and American poetry beginning with the Anglo Saxons to the style and content of his work. His poetry explores a variety of poetic styles. Phil published his first book of poetry a year ago.

John, a recognized minimalist in his work offers as few words as possible to create a scene, define a character, offer a truth or two to make the reader think. John has been publishing for over 50 years and over 40 books available. Impressive career.

It was a fun time; they offered a lot about their influences and goals of their lives and their work. And they're both eager for you to experience the differences and  yet the commonalities found in their work. Buy the books and let them know what you think!

Both poets have newly-published books available on Amazon to share with fellow lovers of the written word. Phil's is entitled "Homestretch." John's is titled "seriously?" Love them both--the poets, the work, and the chance to visit with them in conversation about words.
