Joseph R. Heacock, 82, husband of Frances, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Frederick Living.
He was employed in Boyertown School District as a counselor at Junior High East, and was a member of St. Columbkill’s Roman Catholic Church in Boyertown. Joseph earned his doctorate degree from Villanova University.
Born in Bedford, PA, Joseph was the son of the late Floyd and Elizabeth (Arnold) Heacock.
Joseph is survived by three children, Brian Heacock, husband of Gretchen; Mary Jo Heacock; and Kevin Heacock, husband of Alison; as well as five grandchildren, Ethan, Aubrey, Eddie, Amelia, and Evelyn. Joseph is also survived by four siblings, Mary Liz, Gene, Cathy, and Jim.
In addition to parents, Joe is predeceased by three siblings, John, Peg, and Ruthann.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 10AM to 11AM at St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church 200 Indian Spring Rd Boyertown, PA 19512. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11AM.
Internment will be private at the convivence of the family.

I haven't been to the folk fest since I worked it as a teen helping to make apple butter. I hope the schnitz and knepp is still as good, and that you can still get vanilla ice cream with peaches. I still have some blacksmithed items from those years kicking around.
Not sure why the festival was moved as the location in East Greenville was nice. I volunteered as an apprentice for the ink maker when I was in seventh grade over 40 years ago.....
