Are you a creative person who feels distracted? Lost in an idea tornado? Blocked by a blank page?

Blackout poetry, a form of "found" poetry, can help!

By working with someone else's words in a book, magazine, or newspaper, you can find new poems, new stories, new art! Students will search texts, be surprised by new ideas, and black out the words they don't need, leaving behind a unique piece of writing they wouldn't have "found" any other way! 

Students will go home with illustrated poem[s], a paperback journal for capturing future poems, and a refreshed creative confidence!
