Celebrate National Poetry Month as a family at a blackout poetry workshop especially for young poets (age 9+) and their grown ups! 

Together we will learn about blackout poetry. This form of "found" poetry is created by crossing out words in a published work (book, newspaper, magazine) leaving behind only the words you need to create your own unique piece of art!

Using inspirational pieces of blackout poetry, poets can choose to illustrate their own poem[s] in a variety of ways.

Students will go home with illustrated poem[s], a paperback journal for capturing future poems, and a refreshed creative confidence!
