Information for this article from Alison Moyer, Boyertown Area School District Communications Specialist
At a Boyertown School Board Committee of the Whole Meeting, 5th grade students at Washington Elementary School (WES) provided Board Members with a drawing lesson. They were tasked to draw bears for an art show at WES.
Their drawings became part of a contest. Each drawing was randomly assigned to a grade level at WES. Students and staff voted for their favorite drawing prior to the art show with the promise of a soft pretzel party going to the grade represented by the winner. Lisa Hogan, representing 2nd grade received 57% of the votes. As the winners, the staff and students at WES were treated to a soft pretzel day.
Which would you pick?
I would pick the “established 1953” drawing because it draws out the variety of experiences at BASD that make it so great.
Cloudy , with a high of 78 and low of 70 degrees. Sunny for the morning, partly cloudy in the afternoon, cloudy during the evening, partly cloudy overnight.
Thanks, Bob. Love these.
And now I know the Schmidt haus.
Fascinating research. Would love to learn more.
Thank you for this information. Wendel (correct spelling) Renninger was my 8th generation great grandfather. I’d be interested in any other information your research may have turned up on him.
Excellent! Thanks.
