November 19, 1898: Boyertown Tigers' Challenge Ends in Defeat

November 19, 1898: The first game of football ever played in Boyertown took place when the Boyertown Tigers challenged a team from Pottstown.
The Boyertown players did some severe practicing during the week and everyone was expecting a spirited contest. Unfortunately, Pottstown won the game 11-0.
