Thankful...for possibilities to express.

The realm between possibility and probability is often where I procrastinate.

The stories and paintings I create in my mind, right before sleeping, are worthy of living in the clouds. Sometimes, the drafts and sketches actually do reside technically in the clouds! What a soft, cushy place to bounce around--and just imagine the array of colors!

I guess this note is to let you know, I am just like you, simply human, but I seldom take "no" for an answer. I just keep going, failing, succeeding; it is all the same to me.  It's the magic of touching the lives of others. What better way to do this than by storytelling through art.

Lately, it has been about the presence of Climate Change Art. At the end of the Pandemic, I decided to see what was happening with the United Nations. Not really sure why this was propelling my action to submit my art for a review, except I had always been interested in beautiful landscapes and did not like the thought of relentless damage… happening at an increasingly rapid pace.

I was shortlisted within a week for an online educational forum. Wow! That was fast! I submitted more work but did not make the finals. So, in typical style, I kept designing. My work has now been shown in many interstate contemporary exhibits, as its reach seems to have a life of its own.

I guess all I can say is that we are instruments for a greater work. Just keep going. It is your thumbprint and what a wonderfully unique journey is ahead… making a difference, no matter how large or small.
