Spotlight On: Boyertown Junior Woman's Club

At a time when two parent households and single parents alike are working full time to meet family needs and attain a decent standard of living, the spirit of volunteerism seems to be declining because people don't have the time or energy to do more. Happily, the Boyertown Junior Woman's Club (BJWC) is an exception.

Comprised of a group of dedicated women who volunteer their time and talents to enrich the Boyertown area and beyond with projects benefitting area youth and those in need, BJWC is a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, one of the world's largest and oldest nonpartisan, nondenominational women's volunteer service organizations.

For more than 70 years, BJWC has worked to make a difference through activities and fundraising. In 2023 alone, the group donated over $17,000 back to Boyertown and the surrounding communities. The 29 active members in the club take pride in giving back and building valuable friendships and community relations along the way.

BJWC meets the second Monday of the month at 7:00 pm from September through May. The meetings are held at St. Columbkill's Church, 200 Indian Spring Road in Boyertown. Anyone  interested in helping to work towards the club's goals is welcome to attend a meeting. More information can be found here at their Facebook page, GFWC Junior Woman's Club of Boyertown or by calling club member Anita Zuber at 610-858-1351.
