"The Boyertown Area School District (BASD) School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Scott Davidheiser as the new Superintendent of Schools. His appointment is effective January 15, 2025, following the Board's approval.
Dr. Davidheiser has been serving as the Substitute Assistant Superintendent for the BASD over the past four months, where he has provided steady leadership and established strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the community. This experience has equipped him with a deeper understanding of the District’s strengths and opportunities, positioning him to make an immediate and positive impact.
'Dr. Davidheiser is the ideal candidate to lead our district into the future,' said Mr. Anthony Panarello, President of the BASD School Board. “His extensive background in education, combined with his collaborative approach, aligns perfectly with our District's mission and values.'
With over 25 years of experience in education, Dr. Davidheiser brings a wealth of knowledge to this role. Prior to his time at the BASD, he served as the Superintendent of the Lower Moreland Township School District for nearly six years. He began his career as a Language Arts Teacher and has taken on various leadership positions, including Assistant Principal, Principal, and Assistant Superintendent in the Phoenixville Area and Central Bucks School Districts. He holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management, as well as a Pennsylvania Letter of Superintendency from Drexel University.
The Board would also like to express appreciation to Mr. Michael Stoudt, Acting Superintendent, for his leadership during the transition. Mr. Stoudt ensured stability and continuity in the district and will continue his service as Assistant Superintendent.
The BASD Board of Directors is confident that Dr. Davidheiser's leadership will enhance the District’s mission of providing high-quality education and preparing all students for success in a changing world."
