Bill Cherkasky got "hooked" while touring the high school's "old building" before its latest renovations that would remove all the old wood found in its classroom doors and the framing of the classrooms' slate blackboards.
Eager to preserve as much as he could, Bill began a journey back in time to learn about the building and share what he's learned through an assortment of projects--video projects and visual art ones--raising funding to sponsor the projects, and finding new "homes" for items of value to avoid landfills.
Bill's energy has inspired me since we first met as colleagues eager to provide creative experiences in broadcasting for our students. He's a GOAT at Boyertown High School and one of the VIP's I've been privileged to know.
Sunny, with a high of 81 and low of 60 degrees. Sunny during the morning, clear overnight.
Kudos to Zack! In these troubled times, the world could use many more people like him. And kudos to Boyertown for providing the kind of atmosphere where Zack (and others like him) can grove and thrive. Finally, is the book mentioned still available? I'd like to buy one as I remember all of the people mentioned.
Yes, Mark. The books are available at Studio B Art Gallery and the Building a Better Boyertown office.
