Three Non-profits Collaborate in a Step Back in Time to a Bygone Era

The General Carl Spaatz National USAAF Museum, the Colebrookdale Railroad, and the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles have teamed up to present a special “Troop Train” event at the railroad yard set for Saturday, September 28, 2024.

The program will consist of a special military car show with an opportunity for military-themed exhibits during the morning and afternoon followed by a re-enactment of a typical troop train send-off of soldiers to “Point of Embarkation.”

Main Event Site - Colebrookdale Railroad, 64 S. Washington St., Boyertown, PA 19512

Schedule of Events -

10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - Military vehicle arrival and set up at the railroad yard
11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Military Car Show and Special Exhibits

NOTE: Military vehicles are not required to remain on the site until 5 p.m. They are at liberty to depart at owners discretion.

4:45 p.m. - Re-enactors will board the train
4:50 p.m. - “General Spaatz” will address the crowd
5:00 p.m. - Troop Send-off reenactment

Participants of the re-enactment will remain on the train and conduct role play/personal education until the train returns to the station.

Special exhibits aboard the train are also welcome.
