Each year, going back more than 25 years, Boyertown Area Senior High music students have taken a field trip to the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. The Met opened in 1966. It is part of Lincoln Center and replaced the original structure that opened in 1883.
Wednesday proved to be a beautiful day for this year's trip to see the opera Il Trovatore, an Italian opera in four acts, written by Giuseppe Verdi. For many students, it is their first opera experience. Undoubtedly, this educational day was enjoyed by all.
