For many people, collecting Christmas tree ornaments is a hobby. Each ornament recalls a special event or a special person. Together they provide a history of people's lives and relationships.
We know our readers would enjoy reading about and seeing these treasured items associated with Christmas or other holidays we celebrate at this time of year. Perhaps you have something special related to Hanukkah or New Year's Eve. Maybe someone has a Christmas birthday.
For the reluctant writers among us, it's easy! Here are some guiding suggestions for what to write:
- state what the item is
- describe what it looks like ... colors, shapes, size
- how/where do you store it
- explain where and when you got it
- is it associated with a person/event
- does it conjure up any smells or sounds or textures
- why is it special to you/ how does it make you feel
- other
