Despite the wet weather, members of the Boyertown area community turned out on December 31 for the annual Bear Drop hosted by the Boyertown Area Historical Society.
The event, timed to coincide with the ringing of the New Year in Germany, featured live music and light refreshments.
Attendees also brought a generous number of non-perishable food items as donations to Preston's Pantry, an initiative by the Boyertown Area Multi-Service that provides as food assistance to community members who do not have the financial means to meet their nutritional needs.

Great message. I have been walking around with an empty shoe for fifty years, forgetting that love is already here.
