Building a Better Boyertown (BaBB) is thrilled to announce its 15th Annual Oktoberfest to take place in the Town Center Parking Lot in Boyertown on Friday, September 23rd from 6:00-10:00pm and Saturday, September 24th from 11:00am-10:00pm (rain date: Sunday, Sept 25th).
Participants will enjoy a family-friendly, German and fall-themed event, including beer, delicious food, music and entertainment, and a variety of craft vendors. Each year this event draws approximately 5,000-7,000 attendees and continues to grow in popularity.
Oktoberfest will offer activities for children and adults alike! Children can enjoy bounce houses, face painting, and Leaf Creek Adventures gem mining. Adults can try their hand at axe throwing, stein holding, and keg bowling.
The following music groups will be featured throughout the weekend: 5th Street Remnants, Auerhahn Schuhplatter Verein German Dancers, German Alumni Band, Happy Dutchman German Band, and Yodeling Dave Kline & His Mountain Folk Oktoberfest Band. Please check www.boyertownpa.org for a full schedule.
Thursday: Oktoberfest Tasting Preview
We are excited to again host the Oktoberfest Tasting Preview on Thursday, September 22nd from 5:00-8:00pm at Brakeman’s Café located at 56 S. Washington St., Boyertown, PA 19215. Last year’s debut of this event was a big hit, and we will be expanding the pairings and offering a couple new ones this year.
We are happy to be partnering with some great local breweries again, and attendees will sample 5 beers and a hard cider that will be available for purchase at the weekend’s Oktoberfest event. Each beer will be paired with a German-themed appetizer. In addition, guests can add on a dinner option featuring grilled bratwurst on a roll with sauerkraut and mustard served with German potato salad. Tasting tickets are $50 and dinner tickets are $18. Tickets are limited. Deadline to purchase tasting tickets is September 14.
Friday and Saturday: The Main Event
Oktoberfest is free to attend. Some activities may incur a fee. Beer tent wristbands can be purchased for $5.00. Due to the compact nature of the event, only service dogs are permitted.
