THREE FESTIVALS IN ONE LOCATION ON THE SAME DAY!

Start the morning by taking pictures! Brass Cars will fill the Boyertown Train Yard on a bright October Sunday morning for a never-before 1900s Brass-Era Car Rally! Next? Enjoy farm fresh, artisan foods, drinks, and music of PickFest. Then finish a perfect day listening to the sounds of UKE Fest! It’s a TRIPLE YOUR FUN weekend when you will want to make sure you have local overnight accommodations to pack it all in.

FIRST: At 9:30 am on 10/9/2022, the Brass Car Tour begins. The vintage 1910s Auto Tour is officially called the Hershey Hangover Tour XI. It is a brass (pre-1916) car tour jointly sponsored by the Susquehanna Valley Region HCCA (Horseless Carriage Club of America) and the Snappers Region AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America). More than 40 gorgeous brass cars have preregistered already and will arrive at the Boyertown Train Yard by 9:30 AM.

Some highlights: 1911 Thomas Flyer!, 1913 Velie, 1915 Moline-Knight, 1912 and 1914 Locomobiles, 1909 and 1913 Pierce-Arrows, and both 1909 and 1910 Stanley Steamers! Of course, the usual group of Model T Fords as well as Buicks and Cadillacs.

The cars and the train will depart at 10:15 AM to meander and cross bridges and streets in an epic celebration of early American transportation craftsmanship and artistry. These will be photographers’ and videographers’ “eye candy”! Bring your best equipment and perhaps your classic early 1900s garb. The pictures will be postcard-perfect if attendees fit the timeline of 1905-1915. To learn more about the car club or this event, visit https://svrhcca.weebly.com/.

THIRD: Funky Frets Uke Fest News - 2022 7th Ukulele Festival is around the corner (2022), and we are working on making it a "Roaring Good Time." Have you ever taken a musician-filled train excursion? Musicians are the best people – fun, funny, and entertaining!

Our 7th Ukulele Festival is around the corner (2022), and we are working on making it a "Roaring Good Time." New to the festival, instead of the ever-popular Hawaiian Shirt contest, we will be having a 1920s-style Hat Contest! This Uke fest is a perfect opportunity to play and mingle with like-minded Uke enthusiasts. We have a wide selection of workshops that accommodate every level of play, from picking up a ukulele for the first time to advanced players and everyone in between. NO UKER LEFT BEHIND!

The weekend consists of concerts, an open mic, multiple jamming opportunities, vendors, the highly anticipated Strum-along on the Historic Train on the Colebrookedale Railroad, and many other fun activities. There are also a few things for nonukulele players too. If you have any questions, please email funkyfrets@gmail.com or call the Funky Frets Music Store at 484-415-9677.
