The Boys Are Back In Town: Soccer Alums Return to the Field

Today, Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, a “who’s who” of Boyertown Area Senior High (BASH) soccer history will once again team up and take to the field in the first ever alumni games and reunion. The games will begin at 2:30 p.m.

Former player and current senior high coach Matt Danner organized the event and is expecting approximately 60 players plus several coaches on the fields across from Washington Township Elementary School. Players span the years from 1989-2022.

The overall  plan is for 30-minute games against players of the same decade between 2:30-3:30, followed by full field mixed team games between 3:30-5:30. Spectators are encouraged to come on out.

Players tentatively expected to participate include: Scott Rath, class of 1989; Ed Becker, Pete Canale, and John Canale from the class of 1991; Ed McCaffrey and Steve Mest from the class of 1992; David Moser and Dan Olley from the class of 1993, and Jimmy Riefenstahl from the class of 1994.

Also Matt Danner, Matt Eisenhard, Josh Heimbach, and Matt Olley from the class of 1995; Todd Hillibush, Keith Pemrick, and Greg Shaffer from the class of 1996; Jeff Detwiler, Joe Kadelski, Brad Mauer from the class of 1997; Kevin Berger, David D’Aiello, Wes Hoffman, and Chris Robinson from the class of 1998; and Josh McElroy from the class of 1999.

And Jordan DesAutels, Troy Hartz, Nate Lorah from the class of 2001; Marc Benson, Chad Pulaski, Ryan Weaver from the class of 2002; Kevin Kinkead and Garrett Neumann from the class of 2003; Cody Lewandowski, class of 2004; Morgan Davidheiser, Caleb Landis, Chris Lasher from the class of 2006; Chris Bakes, Dan Eppenhimer, Jed Johnston from the class of 2007; Austin Benner and Tyler Burkhart from the class of 2009.

Also Greg Gray and Greg Seanor, class of 2010; Mike Jemo, Jeff Lauchner, and Tyler Uhlig from the class of 2013; Dom Genaurio, Barry Kabinoff, Jake McAuley, Tyler Snyder, and Jace Stofflet from the class of 2014; Alec Brisbois, Alex Kidwell, Connor Mckeown, Kyle Sheahan, and Nik Verma from the class of 2017; Ben Margavich, Conner Reiss, Jimmy Towers, Ben Vermeesch, and Ben Wise from the class of 2018; Colin Brisbois, class of 2019; Jacob Groff and Kolby Houck, class of 2020; Braden Bartman, class of 2021, and Colin Eisenhard, class of 2022.

Anticipated coaches include Larry Bartolucci, Scott Didyoung, and Brian Sheahan.
