It is rather difficult to believe that we are already approaching the July 4th holiday! Where does the time go? The cool and wet months of May and June make summer seem distant in the future when, in reality, it is already here. Now that temperatures have risen and the humidity has arrived, it is time to think about celebrating our nation's birthday.
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the Boyertown Alumni Marching Unit will perform a Patriotic Concert at 2:00 PM in honor of America’s birth. It will be presented at the Keystone Fire House in the downstairs hall. The location is 240 N Walnut Street, Boyertown, PA 19512. Tickets are required and are on sale in advance at Aunt Nannie’s Bake Shop, 913 Route 100, Bechtelsville, and Bachman’s Music, 38 S. Reading Avenue, Boyertown. There is a limited number of seats available, so please purchase your ticket in advance. Tickets are $10.00, and there will be refreshments available.
For those who attend the BAMU concerts regularly, you will not be disappointed by the many favorites you will hear at this concert. We are often told that this particular concert is a favorite for so many in the Boyertown community. Sousa marches, as well as some composed by other’s will be featured. A Clare Grundman selection entitled “The Blue and the Gray”, which skillfully presents such Civil War songs, including: the Yellow Rose of Texas, Battle Cry of Freedom, theBattle Hymn of the Republic, and others, will not disappoint. If you are “new” to our concerts, please feel free to come out for this celebration! Many find this concert to paint a powerful message of patriotism for this great land we live in!
The Keystone Fire House has air-conditioning and comfortable seating. It is a family-friendly event as well. It will be a great afternoon to socialize and listen to some music as well as enjoy a refreshment. Hope to see you there! www.boyertownalumnimarchingunit.org
