Jane Stahl's "B Inspired" Podcast Introduces Life Coach Darryl Williams
by Jane Stahl
The latest “B Inspired” audio podcast that dropped on Friday, January 20, 2023, features Darryl Williams, professor, podcast host, workshop facilitator, who knows that often a move from one role to another needs a helping hand. Be it from high school to college or college to a job, Darryl offers tools to smooth those transitions.
In addition to his college teaching, Darryl offers a podcast as part of his new business venture - Outward In Learning. https://www.outwardinlearning.com/home. He offers individualized programs for young people--homing in on the skills and habits they'll need to succeed in order to develop activities and information to help them. In addition to academic coaching, Time Management for the College Student, a How-To-Guide on Reading the Syllabus (& Understanding It's Importance) are topics. In a world that's complicated and often confusing, the self-confidence Darryl helps to develop is often the key ingredient. (https://spotifyanchor-web.app.link/e/muQhXNRgKwb)
The “B Inspired” Podcast: History and Mission
In late February 2023, “B Inspired” will begin its 4th year of introducing the community to artists, writers, business owners, and community leaders who inspire me and who have stories to tell about what inspires them. My goal is to drop an episode every week—usually Friday mornings.
I started the podcast two weeks before COVID locked down the world and changed our lives. I’m in the debt of Bill Vitiello, Director of Institutional Relationships with Victory Bank in Limerick, PA, who got me started. Bill had his own podcast and was such a great teacher!
Since I love talking, I figured I might enjoy an opportunity to invite others to chat with me. Little did I know how valuable the podcast would be for my personal entertainment during the lockdown; it gave me something to do and a connection to people throughout that strange time. And while I often recorded podcasts in person at the studio with guests and me wearing face shields, some of my guests elected to stay home, and so we recorded conversations by phone.
Everyone has a story to tell and there are always really interesting and surprising details about their life’s journey. I just love discovering what motivates people. I always ask what they wanted to do with their lives when they were in high school. As a former high school English teacher, I love to imagine them as a high school student, and it’s always a fun memory for them to share.
I hope that in the 20 minutes or so that you spend with us you’ll be surprised and delighted to meet someone new, become aware of projects or businesses in your neighborhood, and maybe entertain a new way to look at the world!
Plus, we all need to keep our spirits up in these challenging times, and I can’t think of a better way to lift up our spirits than to meet interesting, passionate folks and learn about what they’re doing to make life better for all of us!
I welcome listeners to suggest people, projects, and perceptions. Contact me: janeEstahl@comcast.net. “B Inspired” can be found on seven platforms including Spotify, Anchor.fm, Google, Apple, and Castbox. You’ll find a catalogue of the episodes from the past 3 years with notes to describe what we talked about and shared during our time together.
