According to Facebook, Bally mayor Dave Schott, who sat in my BASH English classroom a few years ago, recently extended "Happy Birthday" greetings to longtime Bally resident Dr. Hubert Seaman. So happy birthday and best wishes for many more, Dr. Seemann.
Building a Better Boyertown (BaBB) Presents Annual Heritage Tree Award
BaBB's recent meeting agenda included the Heritage Tree Award, "given by our Tree Committee each year to a property owner with a tree of mature size that has good aesthetic appeal, is well maintained and in good health, and is a rare species or specimen tree that adds to the property's visual value. This award for 2022 was presented to Frank Deery for his and Marianne's beautiful crape myrtle. Congratulations! We miss Marianne very much, but her presence is felt in all of these wonderful places, big and small!"
School District Reminds Students To Apply For Scholarships
The Boyertown Area School District reminds seniors and their families that applications for local scholarships are "only available for the month of March" and must be submitted no later than April 1 at 4:00 PM. They also have "other scholarships" [non-local??] available. The counseling office at BASH can answer questions.
