Zuber Realty Delivers Communities' Gifts of Toys to Boyertown's Salvation Army Post

Beginning November 1, 2023, the Zuber Realty offices began their annual drive to collect toys for the Toys for Tots campaign that began 1947 when Major Bill Hendricks, USMCR and a group of Marine Reservists in Los Angeles collected and distributed 5,000 toys to needy children. The idea came from Bill's wife, Diane.

For the past 17 years, the Richard A. Zuber Realty organization has joined the U.S. Marine Reserves in their 70+-year Toys for Tots mission to “provide happiness and hope to disadvantaged children who might otherwise be overlooked this holiday season through the gift of a shiny new toy.”

Boxes were available to collect unused toys until Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the Richard A. Zuber Realty corporate office in Boyertown and Zuber Realty’s satellite office in Royersford. The toys collected were delivered via the Zuber bus to the Boyertown Salvation Army drop-off point to distribute to the area’s children.

Several large donations were delivered to the Royersford office during this season’s drive. Nancy Sillitti delivered boxes of toys from the Community Improvement Club of Collegeville that has been I operation for 100 years and elected to bring toys to the Zuber Realty drive.

Tracy Cornell delivered bags of toys as a personal gift to the area’s children. Her own children are grown and it brings her joy to give to those less fortunate.
