January 6, 1887: Late tonight, Alexander Latshaw was walking about in the family mill in Barto carrying a lantern, when he walked out through an open door and died soon afterward. The door was on the third floor of the mill and he fell 35 feet! He had been carried into his house and a physician was summoned, but his injuries were too severe for his life to be saved.
Latshaw was 56 years old, unmarried and “slightly demented.” He had for a time been an inmate in an asylum.
Moderate rain, with a high of 83 and low of 70 degrees. Fog in the morning, overcast for the afternoon, fog in the evening, mist overnight.
Thank you for this article. We need to hear the stories/experiences of people pro and con.
Thank you for your support, Sandra! Too many people don't know that in "LGBTQIA" the "A" stands for "aly," of which, I can easily count Jane and you as two of them! -Yergz
Sounds like a wonderful time was enjoyed by the children and also their parents. Thank you Mandy and Judy.
