Ms. Stephanie Petri, Gilbertsville Elementary School (GES) principal, announced that GES student, Nathan Cerva, has been selected as a winner in Scholastic Press' "October/November 2023 Save Contest." Nathan's teacher, Mr. Jason Koback, also received mention for providing a learning enviornment that encourages "classroom enrichment."
Scholastic's letter to Ms. Petri says, "Nathan's submission for the fiction story The Save, showed a strong understanding of the text along with the ability to author a well-organized and engaging response. Of the hundreds of contest submissions we receive each month, we select winning entries that show strong critical thinking, point of view and reading and writing skills. Our contest winners demonstrate a commitment to excellence that reflects the quality
of classroom enrichment supported by educators like you and Jason Koback."

Sunny, with a high of 83 and low of 61 degrees. Sunny in the morning, clear overnight.
Kudos to Zack! In these troubled times, the world could use many more people like him. And kudos to Boyertown for providing the kind of atmosphere where Zack (and others like him) can grove and thrive. Finally, is the book mentioned still available? I'd like to buy one as I remember all of the people mentioned.
Yes, Mark. The books are available at Studio B Art Gallery and the Building a Better Boyertown office.
