Boyertown Junior Woman’s Club Announces Community Donations

[Boyertown, Pa- May 27, 2024] –Boyertown Junior Woman’s Club recently announced that they have made contributions to benefit local communities this year. BJWC is a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, one of the world’s largest and oldest nonpartisan, nondenominational women’s volunteer service organizations.

The club year, which runs from September through May, is filled with meetings, community events, and fundraisers. BJWC’s biggest fundraiser is their annual “Girls’ Night Out Basket Raffle.” The raffle which was held in March raised over $17,000. This year Operation 143 received $12,500 at BJWC’s end of year banquet gathering.

Additional notable 2024 contributions include a $400 donation to Boyertown Midget League to support the purchase of equipment for their refreshment stand at Mackey Field in Boyertown Park.

BJWC’s other contributions include a $500 donation to the Boyertown Area YMCA, a $1,500 donation to the Boyertown Ambulance Association to be used for upgrading and purchasing new equipment, a $1,500 contribution to the Boyertown Area Multi-Service to support case management services, as well as another $1,500 donation to the Boyertown Historical Society, which will support repairs to historic Bahr Mill and to sponsor the 2024 Boyertown Halloween Parade.

Another contribution in the amount of $500 was made to the Boyertown Area YMCA to support residents who are unable to pay program fees.


On May 17th, Boyertown Junior Woman’s Club made a $1,500 donation to the Boyertown Area Multi-Service. The check was presented to Frank Buttaro, Jr., Directory of Development.

BJWC presents a $1,500 donation to Boyertown Ambulance. The money was received by Jim Boyer, Chief, and Melanie Roth, President of the Ambulance Board. It will be used for upgrading and purchasing new equipment.


Boyertown Junior Woman’s Club presents a $1,500 check to Mark Heist, Board Member of the Historical Society. The contribution will support the 2024 Halloween Parade, as well as renovations to historic Bahr Mill.

Additionally, two $1,000 scholarships were designated to graduating Boyertown High School seniors to support their continuing education.
