Ed.: This "Encore Performance" of the "B Inspired" podcast was recorded in 2020, but Keith Seiwell's contribution to the community's history brings pride to so many men and women, their friends and families in our community that I didn't want listeners who weren't tuned into the podcast's early episodes to miss getting to know more about him and his contributions.

On a drive through Boyertown, Colonel Keith Seiwell, USMC looked for a museum dedicated to one of World War II's heroes, General Carl Spaatz, that he was certain existed in the General's hometown. When he realized one did not exist, he was determined to create one to honor General Spaatz and all those from is hometown that served.
In an extraordinary effort since 2017 and while a pandemic in 2020 shut down much of the world, Colonel Seiwell and fewer than 2 dozen volunteers have created a museum--and an experience--inviting visitors to participate as a pilot, a casualty, and a POW. The Colonel shares his own history dedicated to military service, his experiences in creating the museum, the talented volunteers and their outstanding contributions, and his vision for the museum's future.

Retired Marine Corps Colonel Keith A. Seiwell was the inspiration to the founding of this superb Boyertown attraction. From his desire to honor General Spaatz and to educate the public about his legacy, to all of the hard work he put into its creation, he has spent the last seven years, since 2017 of his life bringing it into existence. With the support of his family, especially his wife Wendy and the late Charles Haddad, as well as a number of other Boyertonians, Colonel Seiwell has created an exhibit well worth visiting to entertain and enlighten you.
The unique, interactive General Carl Spaatz Museum in Boyertown is dedicated to the native son who was one of Eisenhower’s most important generals in defeating Germany in World War II. From the talking pictures, the magnificent diorama of an English airfield, the simulation flight over German territory, the challenging attempts to escape from the Nazis, to the dramatic Hall of Heroes, this creative museum will involve you I winning the war. Plan to spend more than an hour for your visit.
