" I AM: Proud"--"B Inspired" Offers Thanks to Margaret Harner in Encore Episode
Ed.: The Boyertown community owes a great deal to the heroic efforts of teacher and historian Margaret Harner. The Boyertown Area Expression, too, offers heartfelt thanks in providing unique and interesting content over the past year from her book One Day at a Time: a Social History of Boyertown, PA. (This year-long effort ends this coming week.) And we'll continue our thanks over the next months as we publish information from Walking Historic Boyertown, created with Gretchen Lea.
Margaret Harner can't say "no!" For over 50 years, Margaret has been the "go to" researcher, historian and popular teacher for projects that celebrate and preserve the history of her beloved hometown.
Writing for a Walking Historic Boyertown, the community's celebration of its sesquicentennial, the local Lutheran church's anniversary, a pictorial history book of Boyertown, the one-day-at-a-time social history featuring vignettes of the early days of Boyertown through the 20th century, and her current passion: the General Carl Spaatz National USAAF Museum, Margaret brings the community's history and its remarkable people to life.
