Poet Theresa Werba offers her life story in a new book What Was And Is. Theresa’s stories of life as an adopted daughter who left her only home at 15 to escape abuse includes finding her birth parents, sharing traumas in relationships, and accepting a diagnosis as autistic despite her gifts of language. In sharing her poetry, she offers us gifts of understanding from her experience.
