"My Little Town," oil, Devon Stackonis

Boyertown people love their community! They also love learning about its history: the buildings and the people who owned them and lived in them, the businesses that helped build the community, the organizations that served the community and those who lived here.
Happily, there are individuals whose publishing work has been dedicated to researching and writing about the community. Margaret Harner and Bob Wood, for example, have spent decades writing about their communities and publishing their work. A few more recent efforts have surfaced to provide cherished gifts for seasonal giving.
Published in 2022, Joseph L Mitchell's The History of Boyertown and Vicinity--Colebrookdale, Berks County, Pennsylvania. provides information for the Boyertown history buff as it "peels back layers of time to reveal the original land tracts that make up the borough" and welcomes the reader to "Examine long-abandoned roads....Discover that led to the formation of Boyertown....explore the history of current buildings and those razed long ago."
