As we approach the summer, it is tradition to kick off the opening of the season at Fun Days in the Boyertown Park. This year is no exception, and it is right around the corner, starting with The Director’s Band in the park's band shell on Friday, May 30, 2025, beginning at 7:00 PM. Admission is free. In addition to the concert, amusements, rides, and games, along with the Pig Races, are all featured at this community event.

The Director’s Band is a Boyertown music staple. Under the direction of Jim Dugan, the band is often featured at the Swing Dances in Pottstown at the Sunnybrook Ballroom. This outdoor event will also contain swing band arrangements, but also include various styles of music such as rock, funk, and ballads. There will also be a male and female vocalist. If you are new to the area or just heard about The Director’s Band, please come out and sample this relaxing and fun group of local musicians who perform together.

The Spaatz Band Shell is located in the Boyertown Park. Please bring a lawn chair, blanket, and your favorite snack to enjoy the concert. The concert will be weather permitting, of course. Parking is available in conjunction with the Fun Days activities. This is a family-friendly environment, and children are welcome! Don’t miss out on welcoming in SUMMER!!!
