Looked at the weather and it is supposed to be all right… and by all right, I mean nice for walking around downtown Boyertown… and by walking around, I mean taking in the sights of the town’s street fair… and by sights, I mean craft exhibits, food trucks, musicians…and by…
…oh my goodness…I think you just need to check it out yourself!
Berks Montgomery Business Association (BMBA) invites the whole family to join thousands of your closest neighbors in celebrating the uniqueness of Boyertown. This coming Saturday, June 7th from 10AM to 3PM, the town’s main thoroughfare will be closed to cars and only available for foot traffic-- all to make way for the Philadelphia Avenue Street Festival; a favorite! From Reading Avenue down to Madison Avenue, close to 100 vendors will be packing the sidewalks, right alongside a variety of food trucks, and mixed in with roaming entertainers. Be assured that the atmosphere will be lively and ever changing. There is so much to see and do and buy and eat!
It is also an opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate all that Boyertown has to offer: businesses that are literally right in the neighborhood and the different organizations that make living here happy and healthy. There will be representation from various fire companies, non-profit organizations, church groups, and civic organizations-- all with the intent of providing information coupled with a dose of fun.
It is easy to spend the whole day because the organizers of the event have made sure there is a little something for everyone. Kids of all ages will love Party Animal Express’s petting zoo, pop up entertainers, and thanks to Birthday Buddies, Inc., Stitch and Angel will be saying aloha and “surfing” among the revelers from 11:00- 2:00. There will be music all day, which is always a necessary street fair component. But the best part is seeing and reconnecting with neighbors and perhaps realizing and reaffirming that Boyertown is a pretty awesome place to live!
