Finding Love Over Hot Dogs-to-Go

In recognition of the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday, we asked our subscribers and friends to share a "love story" with us with the understanding that "love" could be defined in any way they chose--that their response did not have to be serious essays about the greatest love of their lives (though they could be) but could be more lighthearted. Over the next few days we will share the submissions.

In a "Call for Love Stories" on FB,  Jenn Wadsworth shared her story.  Congrats to Jenn and her fiancé .

I have a great love story about myself and my fiancé and how we met! Before moving to Boyertown, I went to Pottsgrove. I knew Jennifer and Jamie Crosley, but never knew they had an older brother. 

Jamie and I became friends, and we'd keep in touch. We'd talk about all kinds of stuff. In 2020, he told me his brother had a stroke, and we talked about it. Fast forward to 2022; I was working for my friend who owns The Very Best on High Street in Pottstown.

In walks a cute guy, and I could tell something had happened by the way he held his arm. He ordered hot dogs to go and then proceeded to sit down and play a song on the jukebox. We talked for a minute, and I figured that was it.

A couple hours later, he sent me a messenger message. I responded, and we started to talk about music. We talked until 4 a.m. and agreed to see each other two days later. 

Almost four years later: we're getting married in June! 

Waiting for hot dogs-to-go, music weaves a web of love! The Universe works in mysterious ways! 

~ Jenn is the manager at Saucony Creek Franklin Station Brewpub in Reading. Reading, cooking, and crafting, along with spending time with grandchildren Linking, Kota, Haven, and Willow are among her "loves." She and fiancé Todd love attending Phillies games and taking road trips to find a good slice of pizza or cheesesteak!
