Keeping with tradition, this year's Boyertown Area Senior High musical was a smashing success. BASH students brought the musical comedy The Drowsy Chaperone to the stage.
The show is a parody of 1920s American musical theater.
The story begins when someone who is obsessed with musical theater decides to listen to a fictional 1928 soundtrack from his favorite show, and nods off to sleep while sitting in his chair and listening. He begins to dream and in his dream, the show comes to life. Show-stopping dance numbers and gangsters take over the room as the plot revolves around mistaken identities.
If you missed out on seeing the show, or if you enjoyed it so much that you would like to revisit it, click below to watch clips from the show, shared by BASH TV.
