Ellen Martignetti, Building a Better Boyertown's (BaBB) Main Street Manager, is often frustrated that there are not more hours in the day to accomplish all the things she wants to do!
And so, accepting the James K. Boyer Quality of Life Award at the TriCounty Chamber of Commerce's annual Boyertown Progress event allowed her a moment to recognize that all she has been accomplishing has been noted and greatly appreciated by many in the TriCounty area.

Prior to dinner and the award ceremony, were members of the community ready to celebrate. President of Boyertown's Borough Council Frank Deery is flanked by the Chamber's celebratory sign and members of the community.

Celebrating with Ellen were her proud parents.

In her acceptance remarks, Ellen thanked BaBB's Board members and the many volunteers, staff, and friends for their efforts and support.

Congratulations came from State Senator Tracy Pennycuick's assistant....

Highlighting the event was the ever-popular video created by Boyertown High School's telecommunications instructor Bill Cherkasky and his pool of talented students. This year the video--titled the "Sound of Progress"--utilized characters and music inspired by Rodgers and Hammerstein's The Sound of Music, and featured the Boyertown Area Library, Nae Nae's Cakery, and the Museum of Historic Vehicles.

The "Sound of Progress" video is available on YouTube and in today's edition of The Expression. You'll enjoy the video and be inspired by the talent of our school district's staff and students.
