A conundrum surfaces in Phil Repko’s spiritual journey; could it be that he spots an Almighty hypocrisy?

Walk With Me?

The prophecy I need fulfilled
Requires most from me.
What I may want, and what I will
Are difficult to see.

They say that I must walk with God,
And meditate and pray.
To cultivate a sense of faith
To help me keep my way.

Right now, I’m sure that I can keep
My edge, and so maintain
Affinity with higher Force.

But what have I to gain

By meditation and by prayer
If I stay trouble free,
And I commit to walk with Him,
But he won’t walk with me?
