Exquisite. Luscious. Soft pink petals, feathery, layer after layer. The fragrance of peonies fills a room.
And while I always yearn to bring a bouquet of them indoors, I know the invitation will include the mighty ants whose job to walk among the layers encourages the buds to blossom fully. And so, outdoors they must remain.

Sadly, their stay in May is brief; their mop-like heads soon droop, and petals fall in clusters.
I enjoy them while I can!
Sunny, with a high of 79 and low of 65 degrees. Sunny in the morning, patchy rain nearby for the afternoon, partly cloudy for the evening, clear overnight.
Good luck and best wishes for a successful event from the Class of 1976! We will be holding our 50 year reunion in October.
