Alison Shapin, BASH senior, is passionate about learning--everything-- and determined to serve as PA Senator. one day. Alison’s face lights up as she shares her goal of becoming a lawyer and making a difference in the lives of Pennsylvania's residents when she is elected a PA Senator!
Alison was named Student of the Year at the 2026 Citizen of the Year event; listening to the many ways she is involved in her school and community is jaw-dropping!
Confident, articulate, and focused, she demonstrates passion and experience that the YMCA's Youth in Government program has allowed her to showcase. This is a young woman going places!
Her top advice? Communicate with one another. Alison can demonstrate just how to do that. I look forward to voting for her.
Go Allison!
Patchy rain nearby, with a high of 79 and low of 59 degrees. Patchy rain nearby during the morning, overcast during the afternoon, patchy rain nearby overnight.
I am sorry I was delinquent and missed the presentation by Diane Lauer Hallman. Her topic is right up my alley.
Is there a way to share the Writer's circle events so that they populate a calendar?
Thanks.
PAll Writers’ Circle events are posted on the library’s event page. There is an “add to calendar” button there. https://www.berkslibraries.org/boyertown-events
Collaboration… that word was used by both highly-qualified candidates vying for the School Board vacancy on Tuesday. I have no doubt that this Board is becoming more collaborative and I have no doubt that this collaboration will lead to great things at Boyertown!
