Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles to Host "Hoods Up" Weekend

Saturday, June 27 & June 28, 2026 – The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles is pleased to announce it will host Hoods Up Weekend on Saturday, June 27th & Sunday, June 28th, from 9:30 am - 4:00 pm. Visit the Museum to see early and experimental engines from Pennsylvania vehicles built right here in our backyard! Docents will be available throughout the gallery and carriage factory to answer your questions. On Saturday ONLY, our mechanics will fire up a few select vehicles so you can hear them run! This includes a 1907 Dragon, 1914 Touraine, 1916 Autocar Stake Body Truck, 1917 VIM Delivery Truck, 1940 Bantam Pickup Truck, and more! This event is included with your Museum Contribution.

As a special treat, Susquehanna Valley Region and Old Time Touring Club Regions of the Horseless Carriage Club will join us at the Museum. The Horseless Carriage Club of America aims to preserve originality or restore pioneer gas, steam, and electric motor automobiles to their original condition, use them for their original purpose of driving and completing tours, and promote the preservation of their historical value. Witness the uniqueness, charm, and character exemplified by these historic vehicles.

The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles is a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded in 1965 by Paul and Erminie Hafer. The Museum, located at 85 South Walnut Street in Boyertown, Pennsylvania, preserves and displays examples of Pennsylvania's road transportation history in the former factory buildings of the Boyertown Auto Body Works. Over ninety locally manufactured cars, trucks, carriages, bicycles, and motorcycles are on display, as well as two examples of roadside architecture--a 1921 cottage style Sunoco gas station and a 1938 Jerry O'Mahony diner.

The Museum is open seven days a week, 9:30am-4pm. Contribution rates are $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and AAA members, and ages 12 & under are free. For more information, call 610-367-2090 or visit www.boyertownmuseum.org.
