My classes are intended to be light and fun--a chance to explore art and to be inspired. A casual place to gather, meet people and learn a little about art and yourself in the process! Intended for beginners on up!

We will be using masterworks as inspiration for our collages. You will select a specific artist to inspire your piece. I will provide books and postcards on a multitude of different artists for you to choose from as a jumping off point. We will take a bit to look closely at our artist's work to see what color pallets, themes, and motifs they use. Using images from magazines and print, you will create a collage inspired by your favorite artist.

All materials needed will be provided--I will have a trove of magazines and images you can use.

Additionally, we are asking each participant to bring 3 or 4 magazines to cut up. Catalogs and other papers are great too! Any quotes or printed images that you wish to include in your collage are great if you already know what artist you want to choose but no pre-work is necessary--we can create on the spot!
