Press Release- Police Are Seeking Motor Vehicle Crash/Rescue Information

On January 17, 2024 at 1:45 PM, the New Hanover Township Police Department responded to the report of a one vehicle crash into a tree in the 1900 block of Big Road in New Hanover Township, Montgomery County Pennsylvania. While officers were enroute additional information was received that both occupants of the vehicle were not moving, and the car was now on fire.
Upon arrival, New Hanover Police discovered two passing motorists had stopped to help and were attempting to pull both vehicle occupants out of the burning car. Police assisted and both occupants were pulled from the burning vehicle before it became fully engulfed in flames.
Preliminary investigation on scene determined the vehicle was traveling westbound on Big Road when it left the roadway striking a tree. Both occupants of the vehicle were transported to area hospitals for the treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
