Unsung Heroes Help with Parade Preparations
Building A Better Boyertown expresses hearty thanks to the "amazing humans" who "spent ant afternoon cleaning up all the planters along Philadelphia and Reading Avenues. Just in time for the curbs to be full of families and children enjoying the Halloween Parade! Thank you all for your generosity!"
And the Boyertown Halloween Parade Society thanks those who erected "no parking" signs where needed along the parade route.
Don't Miss the New Hanover Holiday Haunt
New Hanover Township Parks and Recreation presents their annual Halloween Haunt event. (See the information poster below.)
This year they are using this event to collect relief items "for those affected by the catastrophic hurricane damage in western North Carolina. These items will be delivered by the Response Crew of New Ridge Fellowship."
They have identified the following items as top priorities:
Batteries of all sizes
Water jugs
Gas cans
Propane tanks (1, 5, & 20 gallons)
Small generators
Cold weather gear (coveralls, beanies, gloves)
Phone power banks (solar preferred)
Baby blankets, beanies, and warm onesies (0-12 months)
Warm blanketsI
BC water tanks (new or used)
Mr. Heater Heater Buddies
Please note: We cannot accept used clothing or water.
If you are not able to attend the Haunt but still want to contribute, items can be dropped off at the Municipal Building (2943 N. Charlotte Street) on October 28th and 29th. Thank you!
Gouls and Ghosts Throw a House Party
Recently, it was announced that the annual Boyertown area Christmas House Tour has been cancelled, but here's a house tour to raise your spirits.
The Boyertown Area Historical Society announces that they are offering a new event for the community:
Recognizing "that many families take great pleasure in Halloween decorations.we're introducing a Halloween House Tour!"
"Homeowners have volunteered to showcase their Halloween spirit with decorations both inside and outside their homes."
"Mark your calendars for Oct. 26. The journey begins at the Boyertown Historical Society, located at 43 S. Chestnut Street.From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m." Cost is $10.
"Transportation is NOT PROVIDED. Simply purchase your ticket and map and set off on your 'Halloween Adventure.' Join us for a FUNFILLED journey through the EERIE corridors of THE decorated BOYERTOWN Homes."
