Which to choose?...the awesome array of treats and goodies from Frecon Farms? …or maybe the movie offerings centered around Boyertown’s Historic State Theater? These are just two of the many (42 to be exact!!) themed gifts up for grabs during the Festival of Trees, taking place at the Boyertown Area Multi Service, 200 west Spring Street in Boyertown on Dec. 6 and 7. A whole forest of beautifully lighted artificial pines, creatively decorated thanks to the imagination of local businesses, organizations, churches, clubs, families, and individual sponsors will be displayed for all to enjoy.
This family friendly event cordially invites people of all ages to a free Open House this Friday, Dec. from 4-9 and Saturday from 10-1 at the Multi Service Center located near the YMCA. Visitors we be able to view the trees, as well as a number of gift baskets, and then purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win them. This lively festival will have music and snacks and, of course, hot chocolate. Not to worry if all the unique and varied choices make the decision more difficult: Santa will on hand to offer his expert advice! All lucky winners will be contacted after the close of Saturday’s open house. Then, it’s time to go pick up the winnings... including the tree!
According to Frank Buttaro, Director of Development and Marketing, Boyertown’s Festival of Trees is a joyful excuse for the community to get together not only to catch up with neighbors but also to raise money for all the many, many programs that Multi Service has to offer. The festival is celebrating its 18th year and is the Center’s largest annual fundraiser. It is a perfect way of easing into the season of giving.
