Last week, the soon to be graduates of the BASH class of 2025 had one final reunion outside of the now-closedPine Forge Elementary School. A Parent-Teacher Association's (PTA) Facebook post about the visit sparked a wave of heartfelt reactions. Alumni, parents, and community members shared their love and pride, recalling the school’s lasting impact.

"Absolutely love this! #pineforgestrong,” wrote Joyce Kurtas. Michelle Binder added, “It’s sad they couldn’t walk around but this is the next best thing!” Krista Lee replied with a promise: “I won’t stop until the last PF kid walks across the graduation stage!

Despite the building being shut down, a row of beautifully planted flowers greeted the students who had begun their education in the school. The flowers reflect the caring and affection that are still felt for the school, its students, and the education they attained there.

Many praised the PTA for honoring the students and preserving cherished traditions. Mary Kay Heimbach celebrated her family’s deep ties to the school, saying, “Pine Forge Strong! Congratulations Pine Forge graduates! Three generations of Heimbachs! So proud of you Peyton.”

Debi Schoenly Moyer echoed the sentiment, calling Pine Forge “an amazing elementary school” with “incredible teachers.”

Anna Ralph thanked the PTA for giving her grandchildren this experience, while Sandra Smith Wade reflected proudly on her Pine Forge alumni children who have gone on to successful careers.

The Facebook post became a touching tribute to a beloved school, uniting generations through pride, memory, and the enduring spirit of Pine Forge.
