In a heartwarming gesture, Mark Potash, owner of Carmelo's Pizza & Italian Ice, 116 E Philadelphia Ave., Boyertown, invites those in need or without family to join his family for his second annual Thanksgiving Dinner on Thanksgiving Day (11/27/2025) beginning at 3 p.m. RSVP to Mark 215-651-7064.
The event offers a warm meal to those in need and serves to honor the owner's son 23-year-old Mark Sturgis who was murdered tragically November 7, 2017 and whose face is featured as part of the eatery's logo. "The grief [over losing someone] is always with you. It's our way of making sure he was here every day," Mark said.

Listening to your community is such an important part of being an elected official. Thanks to all of the candidates who had the courage to come out and answer 17 questions submitted by our community on the fly. I think it’s important to note that none of the incumbent candidates made it a priority to attend.
