Zuber Realty Community Outreach Committee Supplies Veterans Making a Difference

The Community Outreach Committee of Richard A. Zuber Real Estate completed their month-long Veterans’ Food Drive in delivering by Zuber bus the community's donations of nonperishable food and toiletry items to the nonprofit organization Veterans Making a Difference, located in Reading, PA. 

Throughout the entire month of June 2023, agents and staff of Richard A. Zuber Realty  items for the organization dedicated to helping veterans in need in Berks County.

Items were collected at Zuber Realty’s Boyertown and Royersford offices throughout the month with special collection days during Berks-Mont Business Association’s Philadelphia Avenue Street Fair and at Boyertown’s Redner’s Market.Donations of cash, checks, or gift cards were also accepted and encouraged.

Vanessa Deskie  coordinates the annual effort as a way to honor the generations of her family who have served their country dating back to the Civil War. She is grateful and inspired by the generosity of shoppers who come with entire bags of canned products.  

She's inspired also by the assistance of Boyertown’s State Theatre that donates free screen advertising throughout June in support of veterans by encouraging folks to donate to the food drive.  Help that folks provide by sharing information about the food drive through social media is appreciated. 

Recently, members of the committee and Rich Zuber loaded up the Zuber bus with the communities’ donations to deliver to the Veterans Making a Difference, a non-profit, headquartered at Veteran Social Center, 645 N. 6th Street, Reading, PA.
