Building a Better Boyertown's New Mural on Its Way

Professional mural artist Chris B. Murray has begun his work creating Building a Better Boyertown's new mural at Rita's Water Ice.

Those artist “hieroglyphics” are his way of mapping out the colorful design shown in his sketch.

The mural expresses a desire for unity, acceptance, togetherness, equality, and peace utilizing the high school's beloved mascot.

Members of the community--including students--were challenged to create a design for the mural. Three were chosen and presented for members of the community to vote for their favorite. Chris Murray's sketch was chosen.

Stay tuned for further details about the process, the artist, and a "ribbon cutting" or dedication of the mural.
