At approximately 6:00 PM Monday evening the Boyertown Area School District released a statement regarding school on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
It states:
"IC phone messaging is currently unavailable. Please be sure to share this information with neighbors, friends, and family. We apologize for the inconvenience. The vendor has been notified.The Boyertown Area School District will operate on a two-hour delay schedule tomorrow, Tuesday, January 21 st for all staff and students. Due to the extreme expected temperatures and wind chills, along with refreezing and snow coverage again on roads that has taken place due to high winds, the District will delay its start by 2 hrs. which will allow for better daylight and conditions.
"Student and staff safety are paramount, and the District thanks our community in advance for its understanding of this decision and its inconvenience to our families.
"All non-public transportation will also operate on a two-hour delay.Pre-K will start at 10:30 AM and end at their normal time.AM Kindergarten doors will open at 10:25 AM. Instruction will begin at 10:45 AM and end at 12:45 PM. PM Kindergarten will start at 12:45 PM and end at the normal time.
"AM BCTC is canceled.
"As a reminder, we do not serve breakfast when we have a 2-hour delay.
"Due to the extreme temperature forecast and possible refreezing, the district will evaluate the situation for Wednesday during the day tomorrow and notify our community of any schedule changes."
